Dr. Aine Hennigan

Originally from Mayo , Aine has been living in Waterford now for many years.

 

After qualifying from UCD in 1993 and completing her Internship in the Mater Hospital she joined the Dublin Regional Vocational Training Scheme in General Practice.

​

During the following years, Aine worked in Accident and Emergency, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and General Medicine in Dublin before spending further time working in University Hospital Waterford  in the Psychiatry Department.

 

She has achieved a number of additional qualifications listed below and is a Member of the Irish College of General Practitioners as well as being on the

 

Specialist Register of the Irish Medical Council.

• Diploma in Paediatrics

• Higher Diploma in Obstetrics and Women’s Health ,RCPI and Community Gynaecology ,ICGP 

•  Diploma in Psychiatry

•  Family Planning cert

•  Higher Diploma in Dermatology, UCD

•  Licentiate of the Faculty of  Occupational Medicine, RCPI 

•  Diploma in Long Acting Reversible  Contraception and a LARC tutor 

 

As a GP Trainer for Doctors Specialising in General Practice ,Aine has a strong interest in Medical Education.

 

Her goal is to provide a holistic, high level of medical care in a compassionate environment.
