Following an initial career as a pharmacist, Conor went on to study medicine in UCD, graduating in 2016. After completing his internship in Waterford, he undertook Basic Specialist Training in Sligo and Galway, obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI) in 2019.
Conor then spent a year in Auckland, New Zealand, working as a medical registrar. Although New Zealand proved to be a fantastic experience, the pull of home brought him back to Ireland, where he worked as a registrar in emergency medicine in Waterford before joining the South East GP Training Scheme in 2021.
One of the highlights of his GP training was spending four months working in the Billy Riordan Memorial Clinic in Malawi. There, he witnessed firsthand the exceptional care being delivered to the local community despite very challenging circumstances. He also developed a deep appreciation for the people of Malawi and quickly understood why the country is known as the “Warm Heart of Africa.”
Having completed GP training in 2025, Conor was delighted to join the team at Catherine Street Medical Centre. His professional interests include men’s health, joint injections, therapeutics, chronic disease management, and travel medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys keeping active and making the most of everything Waterford has to offer, particularly surfing, hiking and running.
